We are curious leaders. Our team is supportive. We act as connectors. We are go-givers. We strive for excellence.

Dana is an accomplished leader with a passion for fostering growth and innovation within the private business sector. As the Executive Director, she leads initiatives aimed at empowering privately held companies to thrive in a competitive business landscape.
“Excellence is where high standards meet iteration, where listening drives improvement. For the Center, that means preparing well, tailoring the room to the owners in it, and following through quickly.”
Lela works on partnerships, sponsorships and membership. She also manages logistics for the Business Leader Forum program, as well as other operational needs of the Center.

“It’s no surprise that oftentimes in business, “it’s not what you know, but who you know.” Getting to that point in your career can feel like an uphill battle, and at the Center we intentionally curate an environment in which Members are able to make organic connections.”
Heather handles Center membership, operations and event programming, and works hands-on with our Members and Sponsors everyday.

“Vulnerability is vital because it creates the foundation for psychological safety and trust, allowing people to truly care for one another. We’ve seen it be a powerful asset, enabling vulnerable, non-biased experience sharing and open feedback that accelerates learning and strengthens the entire corporate community.”

Anna Ball works with recruitment, outreach and members in the Triangle region, through Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Eastern North Carolina, and beyond.
“Passion for what you are doing is what drives you, especially when the going gets tough. It’s what undergirds your purpose. The “why” to the “how and what.’”
Courtney works with recruitment, outreach and members in the Charlotte and Western North Carolina region, through Concord, Davidson, Mooresville, Asheville, and Hickory.

“Being able to give back to the local business owners here, and helping them thrive, is truly a privilege that our team embraces.”

Kevin works with recruitment, outreach and members in the Wilmington and Eastern North Carolina region, through Carolina Beach, Jacksonville, Morehead City, Fayetteville and New Bern.
“A leader who stops learning starts guessing. A leader who prioritizes learning has a growth mindset, and says, “I don’t know… yet,” and finds out.”
Scott works with recruitment, outreach and members in the Asheville and Western North Carolina region, through Boone, Blowing Rock, Brevard, Hendersonville, Bryson City and the foothills.

“Vulnerability creates trust. When team members are willing to share challenges, it opens the door for authentic collaboration. That transparency often leads to stronger solutions, deeper relationships, and a healthier workplace culture.”
