The annual Forum retreat is a Forum group’s primary educational and bonding activity. For this reason, it is critical that every member participate. It is also an ideal time to bring in new members to help them integrate into the group.
The Center for Private Business hosts the Forum’s first retreat at the Truist Leadership Institute in Greensboro, NC. The first retreat is two days, one night, and each Forum member is provided a private, queen room at the Leadership Institute.
Yearly retreats are a minimum of 2 days, 1 night with at least 8-12 hours of “work time.” They typically include a Forum meeting, along with exercises, recreation, and other activities to bond the group. The best practice is for the Forum to bring in a Forum Resource at least every other year to promote Forum health and deepen Forum member connections and learning.
Surrounded by panoramic views of breathtaking natural scenery, the Kelly S. King Center in Greensboro, North Carolina, is the perfect getaway for self-discovery and personal growth.
“The Retreat went very well and we really walked away feeling as if we gained a wealth of information about not only ourselves and our decision making processes, but also with items we can each take back to our respective companies and work to implement and apply that will not only make us better leaders but also allow us to build better teams.”
